Assistant Tasting Room Manager
Afton, VA Afton, VA Full-time Full-time $18 - $24 an hour $18 - $24 an hour Hazy Mountain Vineyards & Brewery is seeking an Assistant Tasting Room Manager to join our team.
This position will Assist the management team in day-to-day operations of the tasting room;, team supervision, team training, inventory management and collaboration with other company leadership.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, wine/beer, and people.
Candidates for this position will need to have a professional/courteous disposition to work with guests, team members, and vendors.
As the newest and most premier estate winery/vineyard/brewery in the Central Virginia area, this will be a great opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the management of daily operations and staff in the tasting room, kitchen, and bar areas of the venue Provide knowledge about our products, provide tastings to groups and private reservations Responsible for providing guests an enjoyable and memorable tasting & eating experience Responsible for ensuring alcoholic beverages are not served to guests under the age of 21 Responsible for ensuring the business is opened and closed on time and all closing work is completed in preparation for the next day, including securing the building at the end of the day Manage team use of the POS system to conduct transactions and close out the register at the end of the day Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to:
ABC regulations, VDACS, OSHA Report directly to the Tasting Room Manager.
Collaborates with Events Manager, Vineyard Manager, Wine Maker and Owners.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have or be willing to complete Managers' Alcohol Responsibility Training (MART) and SERV Safe Certification Prior restaurant experience required A passion and interest in wine, beer and hospitality industries Open Availability to provide mentorship for new employees Ability to work with little to no supervision Must understand or quickly learn relevant state and local regulations, including ABC regulations Job Type:
