As the newest and most premier estate winery/brewery in the Central Virginia area, this will be a great opportunity for the right candidate.
This position is designed to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Hazy Mountain Property and the overall guest experience of Hazy Mountain.
Duties:
Manage daily operations and staff in the Tasting Room Manage hiring, scheduling, training, and time management for assistant managers, tasting room team members and events team members Managing hospitality and customer relations Collaborate with Event Team for events on the property and assist in onsite management of events Responsible for ensuring the business is opened and closed on time and all closing work is completed in preparation for the next day, including securing the building at the end of the day Manage team use of the POS system to conduct transactions and close out the register daily Collaborate with Marketing Coordinator Maintain inventory and product in the Tasting Room Provide knowledge about our products, provide tastings to groups and private reservations Responsible for ensuring alcoholic beverages are not served to guests under the age of 21 Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to:
ABC regulations, VDACS, OSHA Direct Reports:
Hospitality Manager, Assistant Tasting Room Managers Reports directly to General Manager Qualifications :
Qualified candidates will have or be willing to complete Managers' Alcohol Responsibility Training (MART) and SERV Safe Certification Prior restaurant experience required A passion and interest in wine, beer and hospitality industries Open Availability & willingness to work additional hours for special events to meet the demands of the business The ability to lift/move 50lbs and stand for the majority of the shift Ability to provide mentorship for new employees This position will be a leadership role and thus difficult leadership decisions will be required.
Candidate must be comfortable making business decisions that can often be very difficult.
Ability to work with little to no supervision Must understand or quickly learn relevant state and local regulations, including ABC regulations Job Type:
